Behind The Label

Our organic cotton journey began in Nicaragua but shifted to Tanzania due to climate change.  We collaborate with the bioRe Foundation to support Tanzanian farmers and fund community projects, improving local livelihoods.  Our sustainable approach reduces carbon emissions by spinning yarn in Tanzania and working with family knitters in North Carolina.

We prioritize supplier partnerships, ensuring quality, and supporting US manufacturing jobs.  Our organic cotton socks are dyed in North Carolina with low-impact dyes.  In Argentina, our Merino Wool is sourced from family farms, and its eco-friendly processing adheres to GOTS standards.  We aim to improve quality without raising prices.

Our super-soft Leggings and Apparel fabric comes from organic cotton grown in India by a collective of family farmers focused on socio-economic improvement and sustainable practices.  We also use a cotton gin that processes only organic cotton, reducing waste and pesticide residues.  We embrace Real Fair Trade by responding to farmers' needs and promoting continuous improvement throughout our supply chain.  Explore our certified suppliers on the GOTS website.

At Maggie's Organics we believe in Real Fair Trade from farm to finish. Learn about those who help us make it a reality, every step along the way.  Check out each product category to learn more.
